the Animated Demon Slayer aka Kimetsu No Yaiba, will have his first film in the cinema!
Demon Slayer, or Kimetsu no Yaiba in its original title, is one of the greatest revelations in terms of animation this year. As the first season of the anime has just ended, an animation film has already been announced for 2020. This film will be the direct continuation of the first season since it would not be an original story, but rather the official adaptation of the teased bow in the last episode of the anime: The Train of the Infinite or Demon Train Arc depending on the language.
Adapted from Koyoharu Gotouge's eponymous manga, this shonen follows the story of Tanjiro, a young demon killer, and his sister Nezuko, who was herself transformed into a demon following an attack. Tanjiro will therefore do everything in his power to heal his sister and defeat demons.
Since ancient times, there have been rumours of man-eating demons hiding in the woods. For this reason, local city dwellers never venture there at night. Legend has it that a demon killer wanders at night, chasing away these bloodthirsty demons. For the young Tanjirou, these rumours will soon become his harsh reality...
Since his father's death, Tanjirou has taken it upon himself to support his family. Despite this tragedy, they manage to find a little happiness in their daily lives.
However, this little happiness was destroyed the day Tanjirou discovered that his family had been massacred and that the only survivor, his sister Nezuko, had become a demon. To his great surprise, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thoughts. Thus began Tanjirou's hard task, that of fighting demons and making her human sister again.
