The Japanese professional footballer Yūto Nagatomo will appear as a Guest Star in a special episode of the anime Captain Tsubasa (Olive and Tom) in the annual program SNF 27 Hours TV: Japanese Sports are Strong (SNF27-Jikan Terebi Nihon no Sport wa Tsuyoi!) on November 3.



The programme will be broadcast from Saturday 2 November at 6pm to Sunday 3 November at 9.54pm. And the special episode of Captain Tsubasa's anime will be broadcast on Sunday's program. Captain Tsubasa's original mangaka, Yōichi Takahashi, supervises the anime.

Yūto Nagatomo currently plays at the left rear post in the Turkish club Galatasaray. The programme will focus on Japan's "national human treasure" where Takahashi will also describe his work, how Captain Tsubasa was created and the origin of the bicycle (returned scissors).

The latest anime in the Captain Tsubasa animated series (Olive and Tom 2018) has 52 episodes. It was launched a few months before the 2018 Football World Cup in Russia, on Monday, April 2, 20181st April 2019. Hopefully it will resume with the 2024 one.

Takahashi launched the manga Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun in December 2013. The manga focuses on Tsubasa who aims to participate in the Olympic Games with Japan.
